Practical information

ACI is currently working with Catholic Theological College, Melbourne, and the University of Divinity to have this program accredited as an undergraduate or postgraduate.

Further information on this will be available soon.

Participants will be hosted World Youth Day-style with local Perth families and parishioners both during the immersion and the training components.

For those who prefer to arrange their own accommodation, there are many options available on airbnb or at local hotels.

Training venue

Training will take place at Kolbe Catholic College, Rockingham. Our thanks to college principal, Neil Alwyn, and staff.

The Rockingham area is also a popular day trip and tourist location 45km south of Perth, very close to ocean surf beaches.

The new Perth Airport train link will open in October 2022. This will make it very easy for participants to travel direct to Rockingham.

All participants will be expected to finance their own travel costs to the program.

As a result, we have done our best to organise this pioneering program at a very reasonable cost.

Participant contribution (including accommodation, immersion program and all meals): $250

Participants will also be asked to make a contribution or help raise funds for a development program in Cambodia that is sponsored by Kolbe College and local parishioners.

Sponsored participants: For those participants already employed in youth work or youth ministry, the participant contribution will be $500.

International participants from developing countries: Indicative contribution will be $100.
